Fiesch

The place for active holidays and anyone seeking peace and quiet

With its location on the banks of the Wysswasser glacier river, Fiesch occupies an idyllic spot in the Aletsch Arena. The village is steeped in an atmosphere of calm, and daily life ticks by at an unhurried pace – despite the town being extremely popular with sports enthusiasts and families alike for winter and summer holidays in Switzerland. Which isn’t surprising, because once you take a closer look, you soon realise that Fiesch has so much to offer. It is the starting point for an excursion to the Eggishorn view point, from which you can see the entire 20 kilometres of the Great Aletsch Glacier, the Fiescher Glacier and 40 mountains of 4000 metres or more. It is also the gateway to Goms, where 100 kilometres of cross-country ski trails and the music village of Ernen await you. What’s more, from Fiesch it’s just an 8-minute ride to the skiing area of the Aletsch Arena.

Fiesch, at 1,050 metres above sea level, is easy to get to by public transport or by car via Brig and, in summer, also via the Furka and Nufenen passes. Come to Fiesch – for some active relaxation.
