Discover fascinating phenomena of the perpetual ice and exciting aspects of the Great Aletsch Glacier and its history from local mountain guides. The trip starts in Fiesch or Fiescheralp. You travel up to the Eggishorn before climbing down to the Gletscherstube hut at lake Märjelen, the starting point for the walk. The walk back to Fiescheralp takes you through the illuminated Tälligrat Tunnel.
Total approximate walking time 6 hours (2- to 3-hour tour on the Aletsch Glacier)

Equipment requirements: trekking shoes (good grip), hat, sunglasses, walking stick, packed lunch and drinks; shorts are unsuitable on the glacier (wind). The technical equipment (climbing harness) is provided.
