No need to wait for summer to feast your eyes on the Great Aletsch Glacier. It’s something of an exclusive experience in spring, because the skiers have already vacated the slopes by now and the hikers haven’t yet laced up their boots. You, on the other hand, are already basking in breathtaking views of the gigantic ice flow glistening in the spring sunshine, well before the official start of the summer season on 6 June 2026.

Periods Viewpoint
