Hohfluh Viewpoint – View of the Great Aletsch Glacier

The Hohfluh Viewpoint, located at 2,227 meters above sea level in Riederalp, is one of the most impressive vantage points in the region. From here, visitors are treated to a spectacular view of the Great Aletsch Glacier and the imposing backdrop of theValais four-thousanders.

The majestic curves of the glacier, the vastness of the high-mountain landscape, and the unique panorama make this spot an unforgettable natural experience—no matter the season.

The viewpoint is located in the Riederalp area and is easily accessible from Riederalp. You can get there in just a few minutes via the Hohfluh chairlift. Alternatively, a hiking trail runs year-round from Riederalp via Riederfurka to the viewing platform, inviting you to discover the fascinating landscape step by step.

• Access:
  • From Mörel, take the gondola to Riederalp West or the aerial tram to Riederalp Mitte
  • From Riederalp West, walk 200 meters to the valley station of the Hohfluh chairlift (follow the signs)
  • From Riederalp Mitte, walk 500 meters to the valley station of the Hohfluh chairlift (follow the signs)
