The starting point of the hike is the mountain station of the Bettmeralp cable car. From here you hike westwards on the Aletschpromenade. The path is paved and therefore also wheelchair accessible. There are hardly any altitude meters to overcome until the destination of the hike – the mountain station Riederalp. Benches along the Aletschpromenade invite you to rest and enjoy again and again. By the way: the Aletschpromenade is illuminated at night! It is therefore also perfect for an evening stroll.

Via cantonal road 19 to the exit Bettmeralp valley station. Take the Bettmeralp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG) up to Bettmeralp.

Large paid parking lot/parking garage at the valley station of the Bettmeralp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG).

By train from Brig or Oberwald to Bettmeralp valley station. Take the Bettmeralp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG) up to Bettmeralp.
