From the public transport hub Fiesch, walk towards the old valley station of the Fiesch-Eggishorn cable cars and follow the Bregeraweg towards Fieschertal. After the railway crossing, change to the right branching path and hike via Gibelegg and the Äbiwald to Fürgangen. Take the underpass and hike to the suspension bridge Goms-Bridge (crossing possible for wheelchair users or with bike). From Mühlebach, you continue either along the water pipeline, through meadows and fields, or over Mosshubel past the gallows on to Ernen. Follow the path through the Ärnerfält down to the power station, cross the Rotten and return to the start of the route.

Directions & Parking facilities

Follow cantonal road 19 to the Fiesch exit, then the Furka road to the parking options.
Large paid parking lot at the valley station of the Fiesch-Eggishorn cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG).
By train from Brig or Oberwald to Fiesch, then on foot via the cable car parking lot to the start of the route.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

Sightseeing tip: The Goms-Bridge is also conveniently accessible from Fiesch by the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway. The access to the Goms-Bridge is only 300 m from Fürgangen station.
