View Point Moosfluh – Views of the Great Aletsch Glacier
From View Point Moosfluh, located at 2,333 metres above sea level on Riederalp, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Great Aletsch Glacier as it majestically winds its way through the Alpine landscape. Surrounded by the impressive backdrop of the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks and the vast expanse of the high-mountain landscape, every visit – whether in the radiant summer sunshine or the sparkling winter landscape – becomes an unforgettable experience in nature.
The viewpoint is located within the municipality of Riederalp and is easily accessible from Riederalp. The Moosfluh gondola takes you directly to the panoramic viewpoint. Alternatively, a hiking trail leads from Riederalp via Riederfurka and View Point Hohfluh to the viewing platform, inviting you to discover the fascinating landscape on foot.
- Accessibility:
- From Mörel, take the gondola to Riederalp Mitte
- From Riederalp Mitte, walk approx. 800 m to the lower station of the Moosfluh gondola (follow the signs)
- In summer, it is possible to board and exit at the Blausee intermediate station.
- Operating dates of the Moosfluh gondola:
- 6 June 2026 – 25 October 2026
- 5 December 2026 – 3 April 2027
- 5 June 2027 – 24 October 2027

- The View Point Moosfluh is accessible on foot in both summer and winter
- Riederalp–Riederfurka–Hohfluh-Moosfluh: 5.1 km and 426 m elevation gain (follow the signs)
