The Swiss ski school with the largest children’s area in the Aletsch Arena 

The Swiss Ski School Riederalp offers ski and snowboard courses for children, teenagers and adults. 

The large, child-friendly Snowgarden offers an opportunity for the youngest guests to gain their first experience with skis and snow in a safe environment, and to learn the basics of skiing in a playful way. The courses in the Snowgarden are ideal preparation for the follow-on courses of the Swiss Snow League. Children from the age of 2½ can attend the one-hour Snowflake taster course on Tuesdays and Thursdays, accompanied by an adult. 

The Ski School Riederalp offers a two-hour afternoon course for children aged three and over from Monday to Friday. Children aged four and over can improve their skiing skills in a three-hour course each morning from Monday to Friday. 

If accompanied by an adult, children may use the practice lifts in the Snowgarden independently for a fee. 

The Ski School Riederalp recommends booking a trial day for the first lesson. 

The lessons offered by the Ski or Snowboard Swiss Snow League are specially tailored to kids and teens. The courses take place in different level groups. There are two-hour taster courses for snowboard beginners on Thursday and Sunday. 

Tip: If you book your place on a group course up to 15 days before the course starts, you can be sure of the best early-bird price. 

Private ski and snowboard lessons can be booked for kids and teens from Monday to Sunday – you can choose a course of either 120 or 150 minutes’ duration. 

Adults can also enjoy private ski and snowboard lessons. At weekends, you have the option of spending the whole day on a ski safari with a private instructor. 

If you want to try out the narrow cross-country skis, you can book one-hour taster courses in classic or skating technique on Tuesday or Wednesday. This can be done via the contact form or by phone. Private lessons are available daily and last 60 minutes. 

For the trend sport Telemark, private lessons of 120 or 150 minutes are also available daily. 

The Ski School Riederalp also offers the opportunity to enjoy the unique Alpine landscape on a snowshoe tour accompanied by a local guide. There’s also plenty to look forward to for ski tourers, such as a tour to the Katzenlöcher rock formations or on the Great Aletsch Glacier. 

A special offer from the Ski School Riederalp is adapted snow sports lessons for people with disabilities in a dual or mono ski bob. Book early to ensure that the right bob and snow sports instructor can be reserved for the desired period. A dual or mono ski bob can also be hired without booking a snow sports instructor.
