Snowgarden Riederalp – child-friendly winter sports paradise for beginners
The Snowgarden Riederalp in the Aletsch Arena is an excellent address for very young snow enthusiasts: children from the age of 2½ or so can gain their first experience on skis or snowboards here. The Snowgarden is located in the centre of the village of Riederalp, right next to the children’s ski lift in the Alpenrose ski arena.
It is equipped with several Magic Carpets (conveyor belts), fun slopes and other facilities – ideal for children to have fun practising gliding and braking safely.
The courses at the Swiss Ski School Riederalp are specially tailored to this age group and offer a guided start in the snow.
Courses: Please sign up online or in person at the Ski School office
If a child doesn’t need a course, they can still use the Snowgarden in the afternoon (depending on capacity) and at weekends. There’s a charge of CHF 10 per child; payment is made either at the Ski School office or directly at the Snowgarden (cash or Twint).
Why choose the Snowgarden Riederalp?
Superbly well-equipped children’s area: gentle, safe slopes, a conveyor belt instead of a strenuous climb, child-friendly infrastructure
Early start: possible from the age of 2½, which makes the Snowgarden particularly attractive for families with small children
Flexibility: both supervised courses and free use (e.g. for playing and practising) possible
Central location: in the centre of the car-free village of Riederalp, easily accessible and handy for families staying locally
Ready for the first snow?
The Snowgarden Riederalp is not just a place to learn – it’s an adventure for the little ones. It lets children gain their first experience of snow in a playful and fun way. Whether for a course or a spontaneous visit: we look forward to welcoming all little winter sports fans!
