For the Swiss Skischool Fiesch, it is very important to provide ongoing advanced training to ski and snowboard instructors, to enable them to expertly supervise and accompany both beginners and advanced skiers.
While the parents explore the Aletsch Arena region or take skiing lessons, their children from the age of two are lovingly looked after and cared for at the Skischool Fiesch kindergarten. The youngsters enjoy an entertaining programme of games, crafts and storytelling, and in good weather they’re also allowed out in the snow.
The snow sports instructors in the Snowgarden use play to introduce children from the age of three to the fun that can be had in snow and prepare them sensitively for their first attempts on skis. With activities both with and without skis, the focus is on being physically active in the fresh air and having fun as a group. With a mixture of skiing, games and other supervised activities, even the youngest skiers will enjoy their first short downhill runs and their first ski race.
At the Kids Village on the Fiescheralp, children from the age of four are introduced to the world of skiing in a playful way. Highly qualified kids’ instructors teach children to ski through varied, playful, age-appropriate lessons. The children can warm up during the daily tea break on the Skischool Fiesch premises or have their snack during the break.
Children aged three and over who have never been on skis before can take part in a one-hour taster course.
In the Snow League Ski courses, the Skischool Fiesch emphasises a modern approach to teaching skiing that is great fun for the kids. At the end of the week, they compete in a ski race.
Any children who prefer to explore the slopes on a board can take lessons from snowboard instructors. They ride with the kids on boxes or rails and spend time in the Fun Park. For those with no experience who want to give the sport a try, a two-hour snowboard taster course takes place on Wednesday afternoons.
The snow sports instructors also offer private lessons for individuals wishing to learn. Instruction is available daily; bookings can be made by e-mail or telephone.
