Theme trail circular route at Eggishorn

Due to construction and preparatory work for the Eggishorn project (www.aletscharena.ch/en/about-the-region/about-us/aletsch-bahnen-ag/eggishorn-project), the Eggishorn themed loop trail will remain closed until further notice. This closure is for the safety of our guests and allows the work in the Eggishorn area to proceed. Thank you for your understanding.

The start and end point of the circular route opened in 2019 is the mountain station of the Eggishorn cable car. From here, you reach particularly impressive viewpoints on the approximately 500-meter-long circular route. A total of 9 glacier lounges invite you to enjoy the magnificent view of over forty four-thousanders and the Great Aletsch Glacier. Information boards along the route provide you with interesting facts about the largest ice stream in the Alps and the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. You should allow about an hour for the easy-to-walk circular route – including resting times at the lounges. Part of this impressive theme trail is pram-friendly and barrier-free.
