From the mid-station of the Riederalp cable car, hike via Riederalp West on the well-maintained hiking trail up to Riederfurka. There, the first highlight awaits with the Pro Natura Centre Aletsch in Villa Cassel. From Riederfurka, descend via Teiffe Forest to Grünsee and over the suspension bridge Riederalp – Belalp to the other side of the valley, the Aletschi. Then follows the ascent over Leng Acker to the chapel and further via the connecting path to the spectacular Oberaletsch panorama trail. First, hike through the Oberaletsch Gorge, then along the right side of the valley alongside the Oberaletsch Glacier, up to the SAC Oberaletsch Hut (2,640 m). The return route follows the same path to the Walkenen area. There, follow the path westwards down to Belalp. From there, take the cable car to Blatten b. Naters, continue with the Postbus to Brig and then take the train.
