Start: Bettmeralp, mountain station cable car
Destination: Mörel-Filet, train station

The start of the route is at the mountain station of the Bettmeralp cable car. Take the underpass and follow the road along the Alpmatten district to Ried. Switch to the hiking trail that leads from here towards the valley. Past the small hamlets Domo, Breite, and Egga, it leads to Betten Dorf, which you cross in a westerly direction – past the church. Below the middle station of the Betten Dorf cable car, switch to the path that leads past the shooting range, over Breiten down to Mörel-Filet. On this section, the path crosses the road several times. Once in the valley, you have two options: You can take the train to Bettmeralp valley station and then the cable car up to Bettmeralp, or you can take the cable car to Riederalp and hike back along the Aletsch promenade to Bettmeralp.

Via Cantonal Road 19 to the Bettmeralp valley station exit. Take the Bettmeralp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG) up to Bettmeralp.

Large paid parking lot/parking garage at the valley station of the Bettmeralp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG).

Take the train from Brig or Oberwald to Bettmeralp valley station. Take the Bettmeralp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG) up to Bettmeralp.
