From the mountain station of the Riederalp Mitte cable car, you have two options to reach the trail: take the path that rises opposite the mountain station past a solitary chalet, or walk west towards Hotel Riederhof and follow the small road that goes up to the right of the hotel. The approximately 1 km long cross-country ski trail offers exquisite skiing enjoyment with a magnificent view of the mountain scenery.

Safety guidelines
- Use of the trails is at your own risk.
- Use only marked trails and observe all signs and notices—for your own safety, to protect the landscape and out of respect for wildlife.
- Be considerate towards other trail users.
- All cross-country skiers must, especially on descents, adapt speed and behavior to their skill level and visibility.
- In classic tracks and on the free technique piste, keep a safe distance to the skier in front and stay on the right side.
- If you stop, leave the trail.
- Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly without warning. Appropriate clothing is very important.

- Weather-appropriate warm clothing and headgear (water- and windproof)
- Sunglasses
- Good sun protection, even in cloudy weather. UV rays at high altitudes can be especially strong in winter.
Directions & Parking facilities
Take Cantonal Road 19 to the Mörel-Filet exit, then follow the signs to the parking areas. Take the Riederalp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG) up to Riederalp.
- Limited number of paid parking spaces at Mörel-Filet station. Further parking options are signposted.
- Large paid parking garages at the entrance to Mörel-Filet as well as in the village center.
Take the train from Brig or Oberwald to Mörel-Filet, then walk to the Riederalp cable car (Aletsch Bahnen AG). Take this up to Riederalp.
