  • Start: Blausee
  • Destination: Riederalp Village

The Blausee Trail starts directly below the mid-station Blausee (Moosfluh Bahn). From there, it immediately begins with some flowing turns and small jumps, with magnificent views of Weisshorn and Matterhorn. Around the Chüehstall restaurant (which invites you to take a wonderful break), the trail becomes narrower and more natural again. On the descent, you repeatedly cross the grazing area of the local Eringer cows and catch spectacular views of the Riederalp and the whole valley. The trail mostly has long and somewhat flatter straights and shorter, more winding sections to cross the few steep slopes. The last section into the village runs along the trainer lift on the Chieweide and can also be used well from the village by short pedaling as a warm-up run.

Highlights:

  • Before the ride starts, enjoy the Blausee at the mid-station
  • Many narrow single trail sections with small technical features
  • Some flow trail sections with small jumps and steep wall turns
  • Ideal warm-up route for your further trail adventure in the Aletsch

Note: For beginners: As soon as you can master the Wurzenbord Trail effortlessly, you are right on the Blausee Trail.

Trail type: Predominantly Tech/Single Trail with some Style/Flow Trail sections, lower red difficulty level

Terrain: Alpine pastures, without large exposures, suitable for mass sports.

Trail signage: Follow the red signs with the white biker symbol.

Additional information

Specifically for smaller children (under 8 years) and beginners without experience, the last section of about 250m on the "Chieweide" near the practice ski lift is designed as a specifically low-threshold offering for first attempts. This section is also suitable in length for small children and can be easily reached from the village, and together with the Modular Pump Track and other mobile installations provides a good practice area. If these two infrastructures can be managed safely, nothing should stand in the way of riding the entire Blausee Trail.
