- Start: Blausee
- Destination: Riederalp village
The Blausee Trail starts directly below the Blausee mid-station (Moosfluh cable car). From there, it begins with some flowy turns and small jumps, offering amazing views of the Weisshorn and Matterhorn.
Around the Chüehstall restaurant (a great place to take a break), the trail becomes narrower and more natural again. During the descent, you often pass through grazing areas with local Eringer cows and enjoy spectacular views of Riederalp and the whole valley.
The trail mostly has longer, slightly flatter straight sections and shorter, more winding parts to cross the steeper slopes. The last section into the village follows the training lift on Chieweide and can also be used as a warm-up run from the village with a short uphill ride.
Highlights:
- Enjoy the Blausee at the mid-station before you start
- Many narrow single trail sections with small technical features
- Some flow trail sections with small jumps and berms
- Ideal warm-up trail for your adventure in the Aletsch Arena
Note for beginners:
Once you can ride the Wurzenbord Trail without problems, the Blausee Trail is perfect for you.
Trail type:
Mostly technical single trail with some flow sections, lower red difficulty level
Terrain:
Alpine meadows, no major exposure, suitable for a wide range of riders
Trail signs:
Follow the red signs with a white bike symbol
