Aletsch-ridge
The snowshoe guide takes the cable car with you up to Moosfluh. Walking in the direction of Biel, you pass behind some prominent rocks and take one of the many trails on the broad mountain ridge past Hohfluh to Riederfurka. Before descending to Riederalp, take a quick detour to the Pro Natura Centre (Villa Cassel) and, if conditions permit, hike along the Casselweg trail to look out over the Gibidum Dam way down below.

Aletsch Forest UNESCO
We take the gondola to the Moosfluh and descend to the 11'000 year old moraine. High above the glacier and far away from everyday life, we experience the enchanting fairytale forest and the winter silence of the UNESCO World Heritage Site up close. Knorrige Arven and traces of hares, foxes and squirrels are our way companions. If you feel like it, you can take a break on the Riederfurka, if not, we descend directly to the Riederalp. Adventurous people occasionally dare the Diretissima descent.
