Ski tour to the Katzenlöcher

Experience a varied ski tour to the Katzenlöcher on the edge of the Great Aletsch Glacier. Away from the slopes, the tour takes you through impressive winter terrain and offers you an immersive experience of nature in the heart of the unique Aletsch Arena.

After the descent to the Katzenlöcher, the ascent continues through beautiful terrain, covering about 400 meters in elevation. The tour is ideal for skilled skiers who are gaining their first off-piste experience or who would like to try ski touring accompanied by an experienced mountain guide.

Meeting point: 1 :30 p.m. at the Moosfluh Glacier Cable Car valley station
Requirements: Confident off-piste skiing. No extensive ski touring experience required
Equipment: Ski/touring clothing including a helmet; ski touring gear including climbing skins and crampons; avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel.
