Weaving a Valais “Tschiffra”

from 20 CHF

The Valais Tschiffra: is it a backpack, a work of art or more? In this workshop you’ll learn about the history and purpose of the traditional wicker back carrier. Course instructor Edelbert Mattig will demonstrate the technique, so that even beginners can weave their own Tschiffra. And naturally you can take the work of art home with you as a souvenir after the course.

As a reward for your hard work, light refreshments will be served – after all, this is also an important part of Valais culture.

This workshop is just hold in German.
