Guided hike "Katzenlöcher"

This impressive hike leads from Moosfluh—with magnificent views of the Aletsch Glacier—to the fascinating “Katzenlöcher” at the edge of the glacier.

We first take the gondola to the Moosfluh viewpoint, where an impressive panorama of the mighty ice stream unfolds before us. From there, we descend toward the glacier’s edge and, step by step, immerse ourselves in the unique landscape surrounding the Aletsch Glacier. Along the way, we discover striking traces that the ice has left on the landscape over millennia, and finally reach the striking “Katzenlöcher.”

An extraordinary tour for anyone who wants to experience the fascinating glacial landscape up close and learn more about the immense forces that continue to shape this landscape to this day.
