The mighty Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps, stretches across the UNESCO Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site in an impressive, largely untouched high mountain landscape. For three days, the focus is on the ice flow: we move across the crunching glacier ice, discover fascinating life forms such as glacier fleas, experience thundering meltwater streams and are always surrounded by an impressive alpine backdrop.
The route leads from the Jungfraujoch via the Konkordiahütte to the Riederalp and is aimed at experienced hikers with no previous alpine experience. However, surefootedness in pathless terrain, a head for heights and good physical condition are required for the multi-day tour.
