Aletsch Glacier trip

Take in the Greatest Glacier in the Alps from right up close, safely roped to your guide on the Aletsch Glacier circular hike. The stunning views of this Swiss glacier are unforgettable! Local guides will show you the fascinating phenomena of the perpetual ice as they share fascinating facts about the Great Aletsch Glacier and its history on this guided hike in the Aletsch Arena. The UNESCO World Heritage hike takes about six hours to complete.
 

Dates: July/August: everyday,

Meeting point: 8:15 h public transportation hub (Volken Sport), Fiesch
Approximate walking time: 6 hours (2- to 3-hour tour on the Aletsch Glacier)

Number of participants: min. 6 people 
Suitable for: the whole family, children from 10 years onwards
Equipment: Waterproof hiking or mountain boots with treaded rubber soles, hiking stick, sweater, wind- and waterproof jacket, hat with ear protection, sun hat, gloves, good sunglasses, drinking bottle, small snack. The technical equipment (climbing harness and crampons) is provided free of charge.
