Aletsch Glacier circular tour on skis
Experience the Great Aletsch Glacier on skis and discover the stunning winter landscape of the Aletsch Arena off the groomed slopes.
First, take the gondola up to Fiescheralp. From there, the tour continues by chairlift toward Talegga or—depending on current snow and weather conditions—up to the Eggishorn. After a short traverse to the Tälligrat, the first highlight awaits: a magnificent descent down the Great Aletsch Glacier.
Once you reach the mighty ice stream, you’ll traverse the Aletsch Glacier amidst a unique high-alpine setting. Depending on conditions, the ski tour then continues with an ascent to the Biel or the Tälligrat. To finish, you’ll enjoy the descent back down to Fiescheralp.

Prerequisites: Sufficient experience in deep-snow skiing and ski touring (ascent time up to 3 hours)
Equipment: Ski/touring clothing including a helmet, ski touring gear including climbing skins and crampons, avalanche transceiver, climbing harness, sunglasses/ski goggles, food, and drinks. It is essential to keep the weight of your backpack to a minimum.
