Oberaarjoch Hut – remote alpine solitude at 3,258 m
The Oberaarjoch Hut is dramatically perched at 3,258 metres above sea level high above the Oberaar Glacier. Clinging to the rock in a wild alpine environment, it is one of the highest and most remote huts in the Alps, offering some of the most breathtaking views imaginable.
From here, you enjoy panoramic views stretching from the Bernina range to the famous Valais peaks, including the Finsteraarhorn and surrounding glaciers.
The approach is part of the adventure
Access to the hut requires glacier travel and alpine experience. Ladders, narrow rock ledges and a protected gallery lead you to the hut – making the journey an adventure in itself.
The hut is ideal for:
High alpine ascents (Oberaarhorn, Studerhorn, Finsteraarhorn)
