Finsteraarhorn Hut – alpine adventure at 3,048 m

The Finsteraarhorn Hut is located at 3,048 metres above sea level at the foot of the highest peak in the Bernese Alps. Surrounded by glaciers and towering summits, it offers one of the most spectacular high-alpine landscapes in Switzerland.

This modern Swiss Alpine Club hut accommodates around 100 guests in shared rooms and serves as an ideal base for demanding alpine tours and glacier expeditions in the Aletsch and Fiescher glacier region.

The new and modern mountain accommodation has the following infrastructure:

- 106 beds in cosy multi-bed rooms (10-12 rooms), mostly single beds
- all dormitories with down duvets
- Spacious recreation room
- washrooms and toilets in the hut
- plenty of running water in summer
- beautiful sun terrace to enjoy
- modern kitchen

For reasons of hygiene, we ask our guests to bring a light cotton or silk sleeping bag. Silk sleeping bags can also be purchased at the hut for CHF 55.00.

During the day we are happy to spoil our guests with drinks and delicacies from our daily menu. For dinner at 6.00 pm we serve a soup, main course with salad or vegetables and a dessert.

With advance notice, we are also happy to prepare vegetarian meals or special meals for allergy sufferers. We do not offer vegan meals. Thank you for your understanding.

We serve breakfast by arrangement depending on the tour destination and the weather. You will receive a hearty ‘Zmorge’ for a good start to the day.
