50 years at Villa Cassel
The Victorian Villa Cassel was built between 1900 and 1902 as the summer residence of the banker Sir Ernest Cassel, and later served as a hotel. For 50 years now, this magnificent building has served as a starting point for exploring the diversity of alpine habitats in the Aletsch region from right up close. Its work has always revolved around the conviction that immersive experiences of nature are a very effective starting point for the protection of the environment and nature. The Centre is open from 13 June to 18 October.
