Sheepdog Trial at Bettmersee
The participant guides a group of 5 sheep along a defined course with various challenges, with the help of his dog. He directs his dog using whistles. Otherwise, the sheep are guided solely by the dog (Border Collies). A fascinating collaboration.
The performance is evaluated by an experienced specialist through the application of corresponding point deductions.
This trial counts toward qualification for the 2027 European Championship.
That is why the top 50 handlers from all over Switzerland are participating.
