Looking for some pre-Christmas cheer? In Fiesch, visitors can find it even before the first Sunday of Advent. The traditional Gommer Advent Market enchants visitors with its appealing program at the foot of the Great Aletsch Glacier. In addition to more than 80 market stalls, this unique market offers many attractions: “fairy tales” for children, goats to guard the nativity scene, and regional delicacies for foodies. These include, for example, Valais mulled wine from local winemakers and “Cholera”—a traditional Valais dish. The market festivities are complemented by a musical and cultural program.
