The 1,643-kilometre route of the Grand Tour of Switzerland is peppered with photo spots taking in the most beautiful views along the way. It goes without saying that there are some in the Aletsch Arena in Valais too. One of these photo spots is on the fourth stage from Bellinzona to Zermatt on Eggishorn, where the Eggishorn view point is also located. From here you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view and take in not only the breathtaking, 20-kilometre-long Great Aletsch Glacier, but also majestic mountains such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Wannenhorn, Finsteraarhorn, Weisshorn, the Mischabel group with Dom and even the Matterhorn. However, the heart of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site is and remains the Great Aletsch Glacier.
