Betten Dorf is a village that most people have glided over in a cable car and found fascinating for its unspoilt character, but few have visited. It’s time for this to change, because the traditional Valais village has more to offer than old houses and a beautiful church.
Or did you know that the village was completely burnt down twice and that the construction of the cable car in 1951 changed the village forever? Edelbert Mattig tells you all this and much more on the entertaining village tour where you even get to climb the church tower. Having lived in the same village for over 60 years, he has many exciting anecdotes to share about school, farming and family life from then and now.
