The Massaweg is open again

Three years after the forest fire in the Riederwald, the Massa Trail is open and accessible again. The fire had destroyed the forest’s protective function. As a result, the trail was closed due to the acute risk of falling rocks and trees. Large-scale safety nets have since been installed, and tree-felling work has been carried out.
