SwissPeaks Trail visits the Aletsch Arena
With the SwissPeaks Trail, one of the most spectacular ultra trail events in Switzerland is making a stop in the Aletsch Arena. On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the two longest distances - the SwissPeaks Odyssey (643 km) and the SwissPeaks Legend (397 km) - will lead through the impressive mountain world around the Great Aletsch Glacier, making the region a special venue for this extraordinary ultra trail adventure.
For the athletes, the passage through the Aletsch Arena is one of the scenic highlights of the race: impressive panoramic paths, high alpine trails and direct encounters with the unique nature of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch.
The fastest runners are expected to arrive at the Life Base in the Sport Resort Fiesch at around 4.30 pm - a special moment for spectators to experience the top athletes up close and soak up the unique atmosphere of this international trail running event.

- Belalp - Suspension Bridge - Riederfurka
A spectacular introduction to the region: from Belalp, the route leads over the imposing suspension bridge through the Massa Gorge up to Riederfurka - accompanied by impressive views of the alpine mountain world. - Moosfluh - Hohfluh
A panoramic section in a class of its own: runners can enjoy an incomparable view of the Great Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps. - Bachtla sports center
An important route point with a refreshment station - and an emotional meeting point where spectators, helpers and support crews create a special race atmosphere. - Bettmersee - Bettmerhorn - Märjela
A scenically unique section through the high alpine backdrop of the Aletsch Arena - with sweeping views, alpine tranquillity and close proximity to the glacier. - Sport Resort Fiesch - Life Base
The large refreshment station in Fiesch is a central hub on the route. This is where exhaustion, emotions and great sporting achievements come together.
