This hands-on field trip to Bettmeralp in Valais will take you to valuable spring habitats and provide insight into their ecological characteristics. You’ll learn how springs are surveyed and documented for a spring inventory, collect macrozoobenthos samples together, and examine the organisms found in them right in the field.
In the process, you’ll learn about the ecological importance of springs and discover why these unique and species-rich habitats are particularly worthy of protection.
