Cantonal Hiking Day Pro Senectute

Every year, Pro Senectute Valais-Wallis organizes a one-day hiking event in collaboration with a tourist region, offering participants the opportunity to discover the scenic beauty and cultural diversity of the region on various hiking routes. The aims of the event include promoting the physical and mental health and mobility of people aged 60+ through exercise and encounters.

Routes: three different hikes, one of which is a walking tour or village tour.

Hike 1 "easy" Fieschertal (4-5 km, max. 250m, hiking time approx. 1h30min).
Hike 2 "medium" Fiescheralp (6-8 km, medium, approx. 400m, hiking time 3h30min).
Walking tour / guided tour of the village of Fiesch with museum visit (accessible)

Program

8.30 - 9.30 a.m. | Reception of the groups at the Rondo in Fiesch, coffee, croissants and information
9.00 a.m. | Staggered start of the hikes in the groups
12.00 hrs | Aperitif followed by lunch (raclette) in the Alpenlodge on the Fiescheralp
2.00 p.m. | Pleasant get-together
16.00 hrs | End of the cantonal hiking day
