The final missing section of the trail from the Moränenweg to Alte Stafel has been repaired. Hikers can once again use the main sections of the trail, which had to be closed in 2016 due to landslides. The melting of the glacier had a major impact on the mountain ridge of Moosfluh. Some of the section above the glacier became unstable. The Moosfluh area is being constantly monitored. The Moosfluh Geology Walkway has been addressing the impact of global warming and the melting of the Aletsch Glacier since summer 2023.
