- Start: Riederalp Mitte, mountain railway station
- Destination: Riederalp Mitte, mountain railway station
Starting from Riederalp Mitte mountain railway station, you cycle along the Aletsch Promenade to Bettmeralp. The tour is relatively flat here, but this soon changes. The very next section from Bettmeralp to Wurzenbord is challenging, so you might prefer to take the Wurzenbord chairlift to the top. The route continues pretty much on the level to Fiescheralp, then climbs to the Tälligrat Tunnel (Obers Tälli). Don’t forget to take in the view of the Fiesch Glacier from here! After passing through the tunnel, you reach Lake Märjelensee. Tip: Walk down to the edge of the glacier and admire the Great Aletsch Glacier. You can take a break in the Gletscherstube and replenish your energy levels for the return route. From Märjela, you have the option to either ride back the same way to Fiescheralp or choose the challenging trail via Unners Tälli if you are an experienced biker. At the Bergfreund restaurant on Fiescheralp, turn right towards Schönbiel. Upon reaching Restaurant Bättmerhitta, follow a short section of the Herrenweg before turning right again onto a trail that will lead you to the idyllic Bettmersee. The last stage brings you via Gopplerlücke and Golmenegg back to Riederalp Mitte mountain station.
