Ed Kummer worked as a dedicated hiking guide in the Aletsch Arena for many years. With great local knowledge, a keen sense of nature and people and a pronounced passion for the Alpine landscape, he accompanied countless guests on guided tours and introduced them to the special features of the region. Since fall of 2025, Ed Kummer is in well-deserved retirement. However, his work and his attachment to the Aletsch Arena will remain a formative part of its hiking culture.
