Nature and environment
The stunning scenery provides the basis for all ski sports on the Aletsch plateau. The people in charge of the mountain railways are aware of the fact that high-quality tourism can only be provided on a sustainable basis if the landscape remains intact.
Forest and wildlife protection
Young trees in the mountains have a tough life. Their growth is complicated by barren grounds, extreme weather conditions, frost, and drought. Wild animals survive long, harsh mountain winters looking for food, moving as little as possible, and taking a lot of rest. Therefore, we also grant space and recovery to our forest and wildlife and never leave the signposted slopes of the protected areas.
