Dogs in everyday life
On this training course you’ll discover how you and your dog can achieve a better understanding by following a few simple pointers. You and your four-legged friend will learn how to deal more effectively with everyday situations on this interesting and varied training programme. And what better setting than the magnificent alpine scenery of the Aletsch Arena?

Dates: 2-4 October 2020 (3 day workshop)
Duration: 10:00h - 12:30h and 13:30h - 16:00h

Cost: CHF 380
Number of participants: min. 5 | max. 10 teams (team: dog + companion)
Suitable for: dogs over 6 months, no puppies
Requirements: no level of training required, the dog’s behaviour towards other dogs and people should be socially acceptable, well-motivated dog handler, fair and friendly approach to the dog
Equipment: lots of treats (no dry food), harness or collar, 3 to 6 metre lead, toys

Course content:
- Relationship/bond between owner and dog and gaining the dog’s attention
- Expressive behaviour in dogs
- Using leads properly
- Development of effective recall and retrieval techniques (everyday situations such as meeting people, other dogs and objects)
- Safe behaviour in public
- Identifying and understanding problems and developing solutions
- Behavioural exercises (how well do I know my dog?)
