What you need to know about staying in the Aletsch Arena at the moment

It is very important to us to observe the precautionary measures recommended by the Confederation. Below we have outlined what “Feel free” means in the Aletsch Arena in summer/autumn 2020. Is there anything you’d like to ask our advice about? We’re here for you.

Safe travel

The Aletsch Arena can be reached safely and easily both by car and by train. In light of the current situation, essential safety measures for the use of cable cars and public transport are in place. We’ve provided more information about travel to the various places in the Aletsch Arena here.

Special circumstances during your stay

Some grocery stores have set up a pick-up service for self-catering guests, and the pubs are able to provide a variety of picnics on request. Typical specialities like cholera can also be ordered as a take-away. The service providers are making sure everything is safe for their guests. Aletsch Bahnen will transport you safely and with the necessary social distancing to the view points, the sunny plateau and back down again.

Keeping your distance with the coolest activities

There’s something for everyone, from action to relaxation and for individuals and the whole family:
hiking on over 300km of trails and mountain biking on the Stoneman Glaciara Route, unique in Switzerland; forest bathing; yoga at 2,600 metres with phenomenal views; workshops on herbs, breathing and yodelling; ropes courses, pump tracks, wild downhill rides on scooters and mountain carts and much more! In the summer sports report, you can see which cable cars are open at the moment.
