The cross-country ski trails of the Bettmeralp and Riederalp routes blend in perfectly with the snow-covered landscape of the Aletsch Arena. Whether Classic or Skating, there’s a dream trail for everyone on the sunny Valais plateau at over 2000m above sea level. But down below in the valley too, there’s no shortage of cross-country skiing fun to be had on the Fieschertal trail. All three cross-country trails in the Aletsch Arena can be used free of charge. For experienced cross-country skiers,  opens up completely new horizons. With no less than 100km of cross-country trails, the region is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in Switzerland.

Nordic and alpine in one

### One pass for alpine and cross-country skiing

With the AlpsPass plus the Goms cross-country ski trail add-on, you can combine alpine and cross-country skiing. The pass is valid in four top ski areas – including the Aletsch Arena – and the add-on also gives you access to the Goms cross-country ski trail between Oberwald and Niederwald.

Get a taste

### Cross-country skiing courses

Flowing movements in classic style or dynamic skating. If cross-country skiing is to be really fun, good technique is a must. Ask your ski school about private lessons and other tuition options. Or sign up directly for the cross-country taster course at Riederalp or Bettmeralp.
