The FIS races are official competitions of the International Ski Federation (FIS) that take place on Bettmeralp. The venue is the tried and tested Schönbiel race course.
The Kanzel piste will remain closed to guests until around 2 pm. However, skiing on Bettmeralp remains possible.
The event is organized by the Bettmeralp Snow Sports Club in collaboration with Aletsch Bahnen AG and numerous volunteers.
Two giant slaloms are on the program this Monday and Tuesday, with valuable FIS points up for grabs on both days.
Numerous athletes from home and abroad will be showing off their skills on the slopes.
Sunday will also be used in part as a training day.
