Good to know
Starting from the Riederalp tourist office, ride towards the Moosfluh valley station and then follow the path that branches off to the right, winding its way downhill to Goppisberg and onwards to Betten. After passing through the beautiful village with its idyllic Valais houses, follow the dirt track on a slight incline through the forest up to Martisberg. Once you reach the top, it's all downhill from there: after the first hairpin bend at the eastern end of the village, an easily rideable single trail branches off to the left before rejoining Martisbergerstrasse shortly afterwards. Those who want to avoid the single trail can stick to the asphalt road. On the leisurely descent you can enjoy some strikingly beautiful views of the Rhone Valley. The final section of the route runs from Lax to Fiesch: after the Bodenmann stables above Lax, turn right onto the dirt track to Alter Bach. Free of road traffic, this path leads over a slight incline towards Wiler and onwards to Fiesch.
