Getting to the Aletsch Arena

The Aletsch Arena with its 3 day-trip and vacation destinations, Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiesch-Eggishorn, is located in the sun-blessed southern Swiss canton of Valais.

The Aletsch Arena is easily accessible by private and public transportation. The roads and Alpine passes are well constructed and the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) railway line takes you through varied, beautiful scenery. The famous Glacier Express runs through the Goms region, passing the Aletsch Arena on its way from St. Moritz⁄Davos to Zermatt.

HOW TO GET THERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

By Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) Basel–Berne-Brig, Geneva–Lausanne–Sion–Brig, Zurich–Lucerne–Göschenen. Connections with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) in Brig and from Göschenen to the stations Mörel, Betten Talstation and Fiesch.

HOW TO GET THERE BY CAR

From western Switzerland

take the A9 freeway from Lake Geneva toward Brig–Furka

From Milan⁄Italy

drive over the Simplon Pass, which is open all year round, or use the Iselle–Brig car transport

From Germany

travel via Basel–Berne–Thun–Kandersteg (Lötschberg car transport)–Goppenstein–Brig–continue toward Furka or via Zurich–toward Gotthard–Furka car transport (Realp-Oberwald)–continue through the Goms region toward Brig.
